Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere. – Albert Einstein
As summer unfolds, I imagined a slower pace, but it has been anything but relaxing. Stress often creeps up unnoticed until we exhibit signs like irritability, overeating, or physical tension. For me, overlapping meetings and missed appointments signal the need to reassess my time.
Planning for the future is crucial. My clients and I focus on aligning current actions with future goals. Often, distractions like Netflix or mindless scrolling hinder progress. To foster creativity and achieve goals, we need time to think, process, and dream.
I discovered a new approach to organizing my calendar based on Designing Your Time as a Leader. This method, beneficial for everyone, emphasizes time-blocking to align actions with intentions.
This weekend, I plan to review and adjust my calendar to create more time for what truly matters and reduce stress. Prioritizing personal time for reading, reflecting, and being creative, alongside quality moments with family and friends, is essential.
Reflect on your own life: Are you spending time on what you value? Are your work and personal life balanced? If not, what changes can you make?
One way I embrace creativity is through cooking. This week, I’m sharing a favorite recipe: refreshing Giardiniera. Perfect for summer BBQs, this pickled delight is healthy, flavorful, and great for sharing. Enjoy!
